Elden Ring: Sacred Tear Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

The Elden Ring Sacred Tear is the best way to boost your survivability when travelling the Lands Between.

These relics can be found almost exclusively at the altars of ruined churches. They affect the flask's potency, increasing how much HP or FP you recover with every single sip.

The 12 Sacred Tear Locations

Finding all 12 is a mandatory step when preparing for endgame bosses like Elden Beast or the Nightlords.

  • Third Church of Marika (Limgrave): Found north of the Mistwood. This is mandatory when you start your run, as it also contains the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
  • Callu Baptismal Church (Weeping Peninsula): Located at the top of the hill in the Ailing Village. Watch out for rats near the altar.
  • Church of Pilgrimage (Weeping Peninsula): Found at the northernmost tip of the peninsula. This is a top choice for an easy, early-game upgrade.
  • Fourth Church of Marika (Weeping Peninsula): Located on the western side of the peninsula, guarded by a few headless soldiers.
  • Church of Irith (Liurnia): Found immediately after exiting Stormveil Castle into Liurnia of the Lakes.
  • Bellum Church (Liurnia): Located on the Bellum Highway leading toward the Grand Lift of Dectus.
  • Church of Inhibition (Liurnia): Found at the top of the Frenzied Flame Village. Beware the "Madness" buildup as you climb the hill.
  • Church of the Plague (Caelid): Located in the eastern cliffs of Caelid. You must navigate Sellia, Town of Sorcery, to reach this spot.
  • Second Church of Marika (Altus Plateau): Found in the central plateau. This is a mandatory pick as it also triggers the Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger invasion.
  • Stormcaller Church (Altus Plateau): Located on a high ridge near the Capital Outskirts, often surrounded by lightning strikes.
  • First Church of Marika (Mountaintops): Found at the edge of the large frozen lake in the northeast.
  • Church of Repose (Mountaintops): Located in the southeast, near the Fire Giant boss arena. Be prepared for a scripted NPC invasion here.

Nightreign Limveld Flask

Nightreign shifts the focus from permanent potency items to dynamic, run-based upgrades in the Limveld region.

  • Church Altars: During an expedition, visiting any Church is the best approach to increase your current flask charges by 1 for the duration of that run.
  • Great Churches: These larger structures in Limveld are the top source for Sacred Seals and rare Dormant Powers.
  • Unifying Fate: Dropped during the Giant Bubbles event, this upgrade changes your Flask of Crimson Tears to also restore FP with each use—a huge help for hybrid builds.

To help you find every altar and max out your healing, we have integrated every Sacred Tear location into our Elden Ring interactive map.
